UV Fly Paint is the perfect way to instantly add bold or subtle details to a fly, or to change the color all together. The UV cure gives the freedom to make changes on the water, as the paint cures in seconds when exposed to direct sunlight or Loon’s UV Bench Light or UV Infiniti Light.
Apply Fly Paint to fly while indoors or shaded from the sun. Use applicator, bodkin and/or rotating vise to form into the ideal shape. Expose to sun light or use Loon's UV Bench Light or UV Infiniti Light to cure. In direct sun (or when using Loon's UV Lights) hardening should take approximately 15 seconds.
I ordered the paint to make eyes for a shrimp. I was amazed at how easy it was to build the eyes up and how well the color showed when finished. I was using monofilament burnt at one end to get the eye started. This was a great investment over purchasing eyes. I have used a lot of Loon Products and I am always pleased.
I purchased the Red UV fly paint recently. I can't believe I didn't buy this stuff a long time ago! The uses for it are endless, my favorite use so far is putting red tips on the ends of my crawfish patterns, and using it as a head cement to finish off the heads of my minnow patterns giving it a wounded look in the head area of the fly. The stuff cures extremely fast too with a UV light. This stuff is a no-brainer, get some for yourself, it's well worth it.
