SIMPLY COMPLEX BUGGER & DR MAY

SIMPLY COMPLEX BUGGER & DR MAY

Description

On the spectrum between simple and complex there are great flies scattered throughout.  Your married wing classic steelhead flies and your Atlantic salmon patterns have their place…. so do your San Juan worms and three-material midges.  All that is to say: if you’re drawn to simple flies then stick with it!  If you dig tying bugs that take the better part of an hour, then we’ve got your back.

This week,  Matt is offering a little dab of both.  He’s tying up his Simply Complex Bugger as well as Dr May, which is a sleek ninja-esque nymph.  Neither is too terribly intricate, but both offer a couple unique tricks that you’ll be a better tyer for having learned.
