Not all nippers are the same. I am a fly fishing guide and the cheap black nippers usually last me a month before they dull. These Loon nippers go about 3 months and cut as clean and easy as they did when they are brand new. I think the only reason I end up replacing them is because I occasionally try to cut the eye of a hook on accident when in a rush (which will dull any nippers).

Cuts tippet, loose hackle, loose thread, or fly wire nice and clean.

The rubber grip gives you a nice grasp when your hands are wet and cold.

Loon has a reputable name in the business. I like the Loon nippers. 3 reasons.
1.) The color. I can loose my sunglasses ( on my hat!) Yet I can pick out the yellow nipper on my pack fast. .
2.) I like the metal wire band on the nipper for attachment.
3.) Extraordinary customer service. The pick on my nipper fell out. I contacted Loon customer support. A replacement was in the mail the following day....Bang. a service bar for others to try and achieve.

Works as advertised. I bought 2 of them so I would always have nippers handy.
