Having discovered fly fishing a little later in life, Landon first started casting flies to saltwater species in Florida in 2014 while stationed in the military. His service in the US Air Force spanned from 2008 until he separated in 2016, after which he made the move back home to Oregon. Jumping into life’s next venture, Landon became a fly fishing guide for Deep Canyon Outfitters. He loves having the luxury of spending his time with guests on the famed Deschutes River and vast number of fisheries surrounding Bend, Oregon.

After a couple years of full time guiding, he transitioned to General Manager (where he still has the luxury of guiding from time to time) at Confluence Fly Shop. As an avid fly tyer, you'll often find him behind his vise tying up the next offerings to head out to various destinations both locally and around the globe.
