Designed with tight spots, one loose fiber and perfect ties in mind, these scissors shine when there is little room to work and no margin for error. But the Precision Tip Scissors are too sturdy to be relegated to the #24 Parachute Adams; they'll hold up just fine as an everyday tool.
I found using regular scissors when cutting the tag of a wing case of a nymph fly was leaving too much leftover mTer on the fly. I needed to get a tighter, cleaner cut to make the wing case cleaner. The fine tip scissors i bought from Loon gave me what i was looking for. I highly recommend these scissors from Loon to give you the best, cleaner flies you could ever tie.
I have found these scissors to be tremendous improvement over my previous pairs. They allow you to get in close and trim where you need to with confidence. Great job on these Loon!
Although I vowed never to buy another pair of tying scissors unless one of the blades was serrated, I decided to take a fling on the Ergo Precision Tip and I wasn't disappointed. Another fine Loon product well designed to handle the tight spaces on tiny flies and even handled the problem child (fine GSP). They are comfortable for someone who ties with the scissors always in hand.
The large loops make these scissors easy and convenient to use. Other scissors I have had are a pain to use in comparison. The perfect size and taper for most fly tying situations and they cut very well. I highly recommend.
Great size of scissor for intricate cuts, stays sharp for a long time!
