We have tried a lot of dip floatants and love what they do to flies. What we don't love is how they smell, how flammable they are, and how inconsistent they are with our priority to make products that are safe for fish and fisheries. Fly Dip is proof that anglers shouldn't have to choose between a green product and a great product. It is compatible with all flies (including CDC), dries quickly, and can take even soggy flies and bring them back to life. It isn't overstating things to say that this floatant is a "game-changer".
Yeah, my foamies are floating at least twice as long and foam floats for a LOONg time. Works equally well on the feathery flies. I will continue to use it, no doubt.
Simply put.....if your not using loon floatant and sinkets your cheating yourself. Been guiding for 5 years and fishing my whole life and have yet to discover a superior product. Do your flies a favor and use Loon Products!
For years, I've been using Loon Hydrostop, and the new version , Fly Dip on all of my newly tied dry flies. both products have worked exceptionally well in aiding in improving floatation. I've used Fly Dip on CDC, quill bodies, commercial synthetic body quills, snoeshoe rabbit and all types of conventional dubbing. It applies quickly and can be applied at tying table or on the water and makes the fly UNSINKABLE !! Try it out, I know you'll love it.
lasted longer than expected...will buy another bottle
I’ve been using a different dip style floating for a while now and I’ve been very happy with it. The loon fly dip is just as good. Serves a simple purpose and it delivers.
