Large, durable hemostats equipped with a cutting edge to maximize versatility. Handles include comfy grip for added traction, even when wet.
Like the fact that this one tool does so much.
The small tapered jaws are great for de-barbing really small hooks, the black finish does not reflect light, the scissors are handy for cutting just about anything, and the tool is really heavy duty and will last for many years and not rust.
I would like the see a model with oversized finger holes as I often wear nitrile gloves in cold weather.
Overall, another great tool and Product from Loon Outdoors!
ROGUE SCISSOR FORCEPS will be put to use on the river, Great quality and good feel in the hand. Has handy scissor feature. Our guide on the White River had a pair which made changing flies a breeze.
Great tool for tying leaders!
I recently started using NZ style wool indicators, so I need to have scissors with me streamside. Nippers weren't cutting it. (See what I did there?) I usually only buy cheapo everything, but these Loon Rogue scissor clamps were on sale so I went for it. I'm glad I did. They have a very sturdy feel without being too heavy. The rubber coating is textured, so I guess they're clampy, snippy, and grippy. They also have a little pokey thing for if you need to clear a hook eye or check your blood glucose. The only possible knock is that it takes a bit of strength to disengage the clamps, but this will likely loosen up over time. So yeah, these are really nice.
Great tool, used at my fly tying meeting this week. Would recommend this tool part of your fly tying arsenal
