Quality pliers, I wish the hemostat portion was a little longer and ended with a smaller tip. Holster is worthless.

This tool is more sturdy than the hemostats I typically use, and can more easily debarb hooks. Lots of function, and appears very well made (from a “tool guy” perspective).

I absolutely love the pliers by them self. However, the holster they come in is absolutely horrible. The pliers can get stuck if you put them in too far and if not far enough in they constantly fall out. If loon could change the holster to a canvas or leather holster they’d be awesome! They allow me to to pinch all my clients barbs and cut tags super close with ease and are comfortable in the hand!

I really like these pliers. They're quite a bit smaller than I thought...no matter. I tried out the holster, and immediately put the holster away. I attached the pliers to a 'zinger' and was storing them in the front pocket on my waders.

I don't have the greatest of hands, and I've never been able to have a spiltshot 'stick' to my tippet until using these pliers. The weird bendy links actually make a difference.

Only one other minor adjustment into the pliers I would recommend, give the ring attached to the handle a good two size bump down, even trying to adapt to these great pliers, the giant ring connecting the handle to the retaining cord is a bit large. I found myself grabbing more of the ring than the handle of the pliers.

Overall, it's a great set of pliers. The holster, not so much. Hopefully it doesn't change much in the mechanism, just the utility needs a bit of work.
