I have tyed many chironomids and used loon and have noticed lots of my flys/Chironomids are looking like crap in the fly box, fly have never been used and the loon UV resin is gone bad and cloudy and brittle looking, also looks like it swelled off the thread under body, thes flys have never been out of the box, not very happy and the amount of work and time put in to these flys sucks, I have to use a razor and cut the thread and resin off of 200 hooks to salvage the cost of my hooks to not waist!....
Loon uv cement is a great uv light curing adhesive. It speeds up fly tying so I can spend more time fishing and less time tying. It does a greT job consolidating materials like fur and eyes...
I have been using Loon resins for awhile and find them consistent. I especially like that Loon products commitment to clean water.
I have used most of the products Loon makes for UV over the last few years and I love them. Consistent quality, last long and holds up to getting beat around on rocks.
