A classic wet fly with varying origin stories, this is an anything-that-swims pattern for lakes and rivers. It might represent a few different food sources, but regardless of what a trout or steelhead thinks it looks like, this pattern moves fish. It uses but a few materials, comes together quickly, and can be modified in a myriad of ways.

I have tried a handful of bobbins and this one remains my favorite. It is simple and smooth. Totally recommend this to other tyers.
I got this bobbin a few weeks back. The thread control on this unit makes a big difference my the consistency of my tying. The ergo handle makes tightening down materials with full easier. I really like it on spinning deer hair or using buck tail. Another great designed product by loon. They just might make me a better fly tier yet.
Really like this bobbin. Its hard to say if this one is better than something else because I'm new to tying and this is the only one I have used. If something works great, why replace it. The quality and smoothness works for me.
My first impression of this bobbin was that it felt large and a bit awkward ind my hand. After tying my first dozen or so flys, it feels more natural in my hand. I like the bright Loon yellow color because it’s always easy to find. After having some other bobbins fall apart or chip, I appreciate the bomber construction.
Sounds like I've had the same experience as most others here. Definitely a comfortable bobbin and seems well built. Only real adjustment for me was adjusting to the default thread tension. A rubber band around the spool arms might be enough to increase tension without manually bending the metal arms however.
Love this light. I’ve only had it for a short time, and have only charged it once. But so far I’m super impressed.
I've used this light for about four months of tying. When I first started using it, it was fantastic. Fast cure times, and overall seemed to be great quality. However, last time I attempted to use it, when pressing the power button it illuminated green, but it emitted no light. I attempted to charge it, but it still doesn't work. It was a great light, but at $60, I feel it should have lasted longer.
I have noticed a big difference in the cure time with this light. It is worth investment if you plan on tying multiple flys quickly
I’ve been extremely impressed with how well and quickly the Infinity light cures UV resins. The light is incredibly powerful and the battery holds a charge for a long time. Love that it is chargeable, not worrying about replacing batteries was a big selling point. Great value, great addition to the tying arsenal.
Plenty of power to cure any good uv epoxy. Recharge is quick and the battery lasts a long time. Excellent warranty support from Loon.
