Refining the magic

I have used the Ergo Bobbin since it came out and love it!
I recently had a warranty issue with one of mine and contacted customer service via email and boom within a day I had a credit for a new bobbin. I decided to try the newest version, so I ordered one immediately, it arrived like magic the next day. So much smoother and sensitive to work with plus, I love the bright yellow paint job, being a bit of a spaz at the vise, it saves me precious "looking" time.
Thanks gang!

It's a bobbin!

Functional, fits well in my hand. I have a number of the adjustable bobbins but I appreciate the simplicity of adjusting tension with pressure form my hand.

Ergo Bobbin (2019)

Of the many bobbins I’ve used over the years, this has without a doubt been the most comfortable in my hand and out performs any other by far. So much so that I know own 6 and wouldn’t consider using anything different.

Always wanted one

Love the whip finish tool, it’s clean action and bright yellow signature color make it a must have item. But my favorite part about this tool is the cutter tool on the bottom of the tool. I first saw this from Cheech at Fly Fish Food and always wanted one. Now that it’s in my hands , I use the cutter on my whip finish on every fly.. Thanks Loon strong work.

Whipped

As a card carrying Gizmo freak,I am compelled to get just about every new fly tying tool on the market so I really didn't need another whip finisher. But need never had anything to do with it. Loon designers have added some sublte touches to this must have bench tool e.g., the hook point on the business end of the finisher is slightly longer than most of the others tools I have which seems to keep the thread from slipping off during the set up and finishing process. The cutter on the end is not unique but a great addition. The easy to locate handle is a big plus although I have so many Loon tools on my bench, I may have to start color coding them something other than yellow. Once again a great bargain for the price.

More control

Because of nerve damage caused by radiation treatment, I have lost feeling and fine motor skills in my right arms and hand (I am right handed). The handle design of the Loon whip finish tool has allowed me to continue to finish my flies with much more control. Thank you for this tool as it has allowed me to keep tying without the frustration.
