This is a cool little caddis nymph that can be swung, dead drifted, or high sticked. The furled body extends away from the hook, giving it a unique profile and a little extra movement.

I bought the original ergo bobbin and was impressed with it at first. It started to squeak and cut I to the plastic spools of my thread and it was unbearable. I am glad that Loon revamped the bobbin with the metal thread holders and love the new one!
Perfect fit and very smooth bobbin!!!
I have used the Ergo Bobbin since it came out and love it!
I recently had a warranty issue with one of mine and contacted customer service via email and boom within a day I had a credit for a new bobbin. I decided to try the newest version, so I ordered one immediately, it arrived like magic the next day. So much smoother and sensitive to work with plus, I love the bright yellow paint job, being a bit of a spaz at the vise, it saves me precious "looking" time.
Excellent bobbin loon listens to all input and always improves on already great products this improvement on original just makes that much better!!
Perfect for tying big midwest smallmouth bass flies.
I really enjoy how it feels in my hand when tying the larger saltwater patterns using heavier threads. The bobbin gives me that added leverage to bear down on the materials to make excellent heads with out the added bulk. It just has a nice balance and feel. My hand never feels like it wants to cramp up like it does when using the smaller bobbins. An excellent product......I wish I had tried it sooner. It would have made for many more enjoyable hours at the bench!
This is a comfortable bobbin in the hand, but it is way too long; makes it unwieldy to use. Wish there was a way to cut it down.
Lets say I have 5. Fits great in hand, smooth, comfortable. Its the only on I use now. 5 Stars!
Easy to maintain proper tension. Comfortable in hand. I like the long tube for placing a wrap but it's almost too long for the threader I use to load the bobbin; otherwise 5 stars.
To be honest, I was a little unsure if should get the bobbin, but now I'm seeing that it wasn't a mistake at all! After I used it for the first I totally love it. I really like the fact it has points for your fingers to grab and hold it securely. All around, it is definitely the best bobbin I've ever used.
I use this most of the time when needing glue. Also works well for perdigon heads.
Just started using the UV products from Loon and find that they do streamline fly tying and provide greater durability. I was tired of the foreign sourced flies that always fall apart after the third or fourth cast. With the coatings I find my flies standup better to multi-species attacks and a single fly last for hours of on the water casting.
The UV Resin is a must have for tying. I prefer this product over any other brand.
The Loon Outdoors UV finish is just what I wanted to make the flies I’m tying pop! With the thick I can build up bodies and add a little bulk to some bigger flies. Loon Outdoors does it again..
Works great! Great consistency...easy to use, good price. Highly recommended!
:) not only is the usb charging clutch (at home, in the Jeep, at camp) but the battery on this thing is awesome! I forget the last time I charged it & I go through tons of uv resin!
Stoked to have this in the arsenal!
This light is super bright it takes seconds to set your UV resin. I found the holy grail of UV lights. Thanks loon for another fine product.
I purchased the Loon Infinity Light around the Christmas this year and am so happy with my purchase!
My first experience with UV resins was years back when Loon introduced Knot Sense. When applied to a knot and held in the sunlight, the resin would cure, and the knot would become encased in a hard shell. It was nice because it added extra strength to the knot and also because it covered the tag ends of your knot. Now the resins are used as both a knot sealer, similar to head cement, and as a sealer to encase the body of the fly so that it will sink faster and provide lifelike depth to the fly.
Prior to getting this light, I had been using a UV flashlight that I purchased for a few bucks. The light worked ok with Loon Knot Sense, but left the fly feeling sticky. I was able to further cure the resin by setting the flies out in the sun for an afternoon, but that was an inconvenience.
I had been debating for a while about getting a new light and which one would be the best for me. I read lots of reviews and finally choose the Loon Infiniti Light for two main reasons:
1. Loon has their own series of UV Resins. In my mind, their resins and curing lights are meant to work together.
2. The light is rechargeable. I like the fact that I will not be purchasing batteries for the light. For me, the initial investment is worth the cumulative cost of batteries and the environmental cost of recycling batteries over the life of the light.
The light came charged and worked immediately, but I choose to fully charge the light prior to using it. Once charged, I compared the strength of the new light to the light that I had been using. The difference was clear. The intensity of the Infiniti Light was many times more powerful than my previous light. The Infiniti Light cured the resin into a nice hard material that was not sticky.
I look forward to using this light for years to come.
Can same enough about this light!, I have tried various brands and this light is the brightest.
Don’t waist your time on the other cheapo UV lights that are out there.. This is the light you want! this thing is still affordable and works awesome!! Super hard in seconds.. love that it’s rechargeable.
