INVERTED PMD SOFT HACKLE
DESCRIPTION
Looking for a fast-sinking soft hackle that fishes as well as it looks?
In this video, Hogan Brown of Loon Outdoors demonstrates how to tie his Inverted PMD Soft Hackle, a versatile nymph that combines natural PMD-inspired colors with plenty of movement and weight to get into the strike zone quickly.
Built on an inverted jig hook with a tungsten bead, this pattern features a layered body of dubbing, Krystal Flash, brown wire ribbing, and a full hen hackle collar that comes alive in the current. While it's designed around PMD colors, Hogan also fishes it as a creamy caddis and a variety of other emerging insects.
Whether you're Euro nymphing, tight-lining, or fishing under an indicator, this is one of those confidence flies that simply catches fish.
