These pliers have a great grip on hackles and do so without breaking off in mid wrap! Cheers Loon!
Bought these to supplement the kit I purchased. The jaws hold well and the loop is comfortable to handle.
very strong hold, no issues would buy again- but wont need to
Ive been tying for over 30 years and the Loon Hackle Pliers has the best material grip ive ever used
The Loon Outdoors UV finish is just what I wanted to make the flies I’m tying pop! With the thick I can build up bodies and add a little bulk to some bigger flies. Loon Outdoors does it again..
Works great! Great consistency...easy to use, good price. Highly recommended!
I like to finish my topwater and jerkbaits with feathered trebles. Loon UV thin is the perfect consistency and hardness.
Great stuff go wrong with loon resin comes out super clear
This is my most used Loon UV resin. It graces all of my finished flies. It is easy to work with, cures quickly with my trusty Loon Infiniti UV torch. Most importantly it gives me the confidence that my flies are finished with a strong, trustworthy resin that will hold up fish after fish or bad cast after bad cast.
This light is super bright it takes seconds to set your UV resin. I found the holy grail of UV lights. Thanks loon for another fine product.
I purchased the Loon Infinity Light around the Christmas this year and am so happy with my purchase!
My first experience with UV resins was years back when Loon introduced Knot Sense. When applied to a knot and held in the sunlight, the resin would cure, and the knot would become encased in a hard shell. It was nice because it added extra strength to the knot and also because it covered the tag ends of your knot. Now the resins are used as both a knot sealer, similar to head cement, and as a sealer to encase the body of the fly so that it will sink faster and provide lifelike depth to the fly.
Prior to getting this light, I had been using a UV flashlight that I purchased for a few bucks. The light worked ok with Loon Knot Sense, but left the fly feeling sticky. I was able to further cure the resin by setting the flies out in the sun for an afternoon, but that was an inconvenience.
I had been debating for a while about getting a new light and which one would be the best for me. I read lots of reviews and finally choose the Loon Infiniti Light for two main reasons:
1. Loon has their own series of UV Resins. In my mind, their resins and curing lights are meant to work together.
2. The light is rechargeable. I like the fact that I will not be purchasing batteries for the light. For me, the initial investment is worth the cumulative cost of batteries and the environmental cost of recycling batteries over the life of the light.
The light came charged and worked immediately, but I choose to fully charge the light prior to using it. Once charged, I compared the strength of the new light to the light that I had been using. The difference was clear. The intensity of the Infiniti Light was many times more powerful than my previous light. The Infiniti Light cured the resin into a nice hard material that was not sticky.
I look forward to using this light for years to come.
Can same enough about this light!, I have tried various brands and this light is the brightest.
Don’t waist your time on the other cheapo UV lights that are out there.. This is the light you want! this thing is still affordable and works awesome!! Super hard in seconds.. love that it’s rechargeable.
Very happy with purchase. Nice quality product. Highly Recommend
